The Fig Restaurant at Alea Casino in Leeds
*Closing from Tuesday February 15th 2011 until further notice
Located on Clarence Dock, home to the Royal Armouries one of Leeds best free tourist attractions lies The Fig restaurant and Mediterranean Grill. This welcoming restaurant offers the best in modern European cuisine in a dining area that can be described as a chic brasserie complete with leather backed booths perfect for group meals.
The menu is a fusion of many cuisines with a number of starters on offer to ensure there is ample choice for any discerning diner. Tempura Prawns with chilli and coriander dressing is perfect for seafood lovers or Moroccan spiced chicken livers on a bed of rocket leaves and minted crème fraiche is also a great choice. The main courses promise to steal the show with more extravagant dishes like the beautiful Fillet Steak with home-made chips or fantastic Grilled duck breast with confit duck leg and fig sauce.
All the dishes are prepared fresh and genuinely use the best of ingredients from as close to home as possible with the head chef Luke Culkin practising a farm-to-fork mentality.
The Alea building, where The Fig is housed, is an excellent venue for larger groups or indeed smaller romantic affairs. There is a great array of entertainment with 5 bars on offer, including the Face-to-Face and The Bird Lounge, home to first class cocktail makers and shakers.
The Fig promises to be an excellent night out at an extremely reasonable price, book online for text message confirmation.
Diners must be over 18.
