Brio Italian Restaurant at The Light, Leeds city centre
In 2002, Brothers in law Gianni Bernardi and Franco Pardini joined forces and set their sights on an empty unit in The Light Commercial Centre in Leeds. Their vision saw them open Brio Pizza and the restaurant has since become a popular family friendly dining location.
Situated on The Headrow between The Light, St John’s Centre and the Grand Theatre, Brio Pizza prides itself on fresh ingredients, both from the UK and imported from Italy, a must have to produce beautiful, authentic Italian food. Their menu is not just limited to pizza, as the name may suggest. It is wide ranging and ideal for a quick bite to eat in between shops, before the cinema and for couples as well as larger parties.
Recommended dishes include the sumptuous Insalate di Petto d’Anitra, a salad of sliced duck breast on a salad of mixed leaves, apples, orange, cherry tomatoes, fennel, peppers and a sweet and sour sauce and the Ravioli alla’Aragosta e Granchio, a gorgeous lobster filled ravioli in a cream and tomato sauce with white crabmeat and parmesan. As well as these the pizzas are a must try with a huge variety of toppings as well as the focaccine; warm crispy pizza bread packed with flavour and a variety of fillings.
